Count what is already in the drawer

Open the drawer where you keep it all and actually count. The cleanser a friend swore by. The serum from the seller with the good before and afters. The spot gel. The second spot gel, because the first one dried out the skin around the spot and did nothing to the spot itself. The moisturiser you bought to repair what the actives did.

Most of them are three quarters full. You stopped each one at around week three, when it became obvious it was not going to work, and by then the next recommendation had already arrived on your feed.

Add it up honestly. Most women who sit down with us have already spent more on that drawer than a diagnosis and a short run of sessions would have cost them.

And you still do the same thing every night. You wash your face, you lean into the mirror, and you tilt your chin to check along the jawline under the overhead light, because that is where they always start. You know before you can see anything that one is coming, because you can feel the dull ache of it under the skin. You press it once with a fingertip to see how sore it is. Then you tell yourself you will leave it alone. Then you do not leave it alone.

None of this is because you have not tried. You have tried harder than anyone. You cut the dairy, changed the pillowcase, drank the water, slept earlier, did every single thing you were told.

Does any of this sound familiar?

That last thought is the one that keeps you buying. It is also the one that is almost always wrong.

Because here is the question nobody has asked you. Of everything you have bought in the last two years, how many of those purchases began with somebody actually examining your skin and telling you which kind of breakout you have and what is driving it?

For nearly everyone, the honest answer is none. Not once. Which means every single thing you have bought was a guess, made about a problem nobody had diagnosed.

Why it never clears

It is probably not your skin. It is the relabelled factory creams being sold to you online.

The same batch, a different label

A great deal of what gets resold online, including products handed to you by salons, comes out of a small number of contract factories. Somebody picks a base formula, chooses a bottle, adds a name and a story, and sets a price. Same base, new label, different price. Sometimes three brands you tried and compared were, underneath, close to the same thing. So it settles your skin for a week, and then the cycle restarts, and the only conclusion left to you is that your skin must be unusually difficult.

Nobody has actually looked at your skin

What you call breakouts is not one condition. It can be driven by inflammation, by a barrier you have stripped with your own routine, by hormones, or by a product you are loyally applying twice a day. In the mirror they look similar. They need close to opposite approaches. Two women with what looks like the same skin can need completely different advice, which is why the recommendation that transformed your friend does nothing for you.

The more you pile on, the worse it gets

The tight, squeaky feeling after cleansing has been sold to you as clean. It is the opposite. That is your barrier stripped off, and once it is down, inflammation arrives faster and more easily. Add actives layered every night with no recovery time, and skin that is permanently slightly irritated keeps breaking out and keeps laying down marks. So you clean harder because you are breaking out, and you break out because you cleaned harder. And the reflex that follows, reaching for a spot treatment the moment something appears and then squeezing it anyway, is what leaves a mark that outlasts the spot by months.

One session

What you walk out knowing, for S$20

Things you have paid for repeatedly and never once been told.

  1. 1 The 3 things on your shelf right now that are keeping your skin inflamed Named specifically, from your own products rather than a general list. Most people are genuinely surprised by at least one of them, and it is rarely the one they would have guessed.
  2. 2 Which of the 4 common drivers is actually behind your breakouts Inflammation, a stripped barrier, hormones, or something you are applying yourself. They do not respond to the same approach, which is the single answer that decides everything you do next.
  3. 3 The 1 habit almost everyone has that leaves a mark outlasting the spot by months It feels like dealing with the problem. It is the reason your face still carries a map of breakouts that cleared last year.
  4. 4 The 2 things on your face that are not breakouts at all They are being treated as though they were, with the strongest thing you own, which is exactly why they are not improving.
  5. 5 How to tell the 3 kinds of leftover mark apart on your own face Red, brown, and texture. Two of them fade. One behaves completely differently. Almost nobody can separate them in a bathroom mirror, and treating one as another undoes your own progress.
  6. 6 The 2 signs your barrier is damaged rather than your skin being oily Read the wrong way, this sends most people straight towards the products that will make it worse, and they stay loyal to them for months.
  7. 7 The 1 question to ask before you buy anything promising to clear you in three weeks It rules out most of what is currently on your feed in about ten seconds, and you can use it for the rest of your life.
  8. 8 A plan in 2 halves, and a realistic picture of your own timeline What gets treated here, and what changes on your shelf. Said plainly, including the parts that will be slower than you would like.

And the answer to the question underneath all of it: whether this is simply your skin, or whether nobody has looked at it properly yet.

The session

What actually happens when you come in

  1. She looks at your skin herself. One-on-one with the founder, start to finish, never handed to an assistant. She works out which type of acne you have and what is driving it, whether that is inflammation, a damaged barrier, hormones, or what you have been putting on your face.
  2. You find out what is working against you. She goes through what you currently use at home and tells you plainly which items to stop and what to use instead. Most people are surprised by at least one thing on their shelf.
  3. You leave with a plan for both halves. What gets treated in the studio, and what changes in your own routine. Clients usually start on a fortnightly cadence in the studio and ease to monthly as the skin settles.
  4. No package pressure. The diagnosis and the plan are yours to keep whether or not you book anything else. She takes a maximum of six clients a day, so the time is yours.

The slower ones

Texture and heavy inflammation take months rather than weeks, and they improve rather than disappear. We would rather show you that than only show you the fast ones.

Before and after: heavy inflammation along the jaw, considerably calmer afterwards.
Before and after: uneven texture on the cheek, smoother afterwards.
Before and after: pitted texture across the cheek, smoother afterwards.
FAQ

You might be wondering

Why is the diagnosis paid?

The fee filters out people who only want a free sample, so we only see clients who are serious about fixing their skin. You are paying for the founder's one-on-one time and judgement.

What happens after I book?

We reach you on WhatsApp to confirm a time. At the studio, the founder diagnoses your skin in person and gives you a full plan.

How long until I see results?

Most people see improvement in about 3 weeks, with clearer results over 1 to 3 months, depending on your skin and how closely you follow the plan. Two honest caveats. The marks left behind by inflammation fade on their own timeline, which is usually months rather than weeks. Indented texture is slower again, and it improves rather than disappears. You are told which of those you are dealing with in the first session, so you are not sitting at home waiting for something that was never going to happen in three weeks.

Do I have to buy a package afterwards?

No. The diagnosis is the diagnosis, with no product-selling pressure. Whether you continue is entirely up to you. Nobody asks you to make a decision while you are lying down with product on your face, and there is no discount that expires today. If you want to take the plan away and do the at-home half by yourself for a couple of months first, that is a perfectly reasonable thing to do and we will tell you so.

Why not just offer a free trial like everyone else?

Because a free consultation is not free, it is a sales appointment with a nicer name. If nobody is paying for that hour, the hour has to pay for itself at the end, which is why it always finishes with a package. A small fee pays for the time instead. It means the founder has no reason to sell you anything while you are sitting there, and you have no reason to brace for it. It also filters, and at six clients a day this studio does not need volume, it needs the right six people.

Do I need to bring my products?

Yes, please, or photograph your bathroom shelf before you come. Going through what you already own, item by item, is often the most useful ten minutes of the session. A lot of people discover the problem was one or two things they had been faithfully using twice a day for months. You will be told plainly what to stop, what to keep, and in what order to bring things back. Nobody is selling you replacements, and if a supermarket cleanser is what your skin needs, you will hear that.

The marks bother me more than the breakouts now. Is that the same thing?

No, and this is one of the most common reasons progress stalls. There are three different things on a post-acne face: red marks, brown marks, and texture. The first two are pigment left behind by inflammation, and pigment fades. Texture is skin missing structure and behaves completely differently, on a much longer timeline. Most people cannot tell them apart on their own face, and the treatment for one actively sets back another. They are separated for you in the first session, in front of you.

I already go for an extraction facial every month. Why would this be different?

Because extraction and diagnosis are two different purchases. Extraction clears what is already blocked today, which is genuinely useful, and it is why your skin looks better for a fortnight. What it does not do is tell you why there will be more next month. If nobody has worked out what is driving it, whether that is your cleanser, your routine, a product you are loyal to, or inflammation that never gets a chance to settle, then a monthly appointment is maintenance rather than treatment. Twelve times a year, indefinitely. The first thing that happens here is not extraction. It is working out the cause, and then deciding what actually needs doing.

Is a solo studio as good as a chain?

For this, it is the point. You are seen one-on-one by the founder from start to finish, never handed to an assistant or a therapist on rotation, and never passed between staff between visits. Maximum 6 clients a day, because examining one face properly, going through everything used at home, and treating what is inflamed genuinely takes that long. That is also why full days are full, and the next openings are the following week.

What if my case needs a doctor?

Then you will be told that in the first session rather than the fifth. This is a non-medical skin studio and there are cases that belong with a doctor. Being told honestly which one you are is part of what the S$20 buys.

Can the session be in Mandarin?

Yes. The founder consults in English and in Mandarin, so choose whichever you actually think in. There is a language field on the form below and your answer decides how your session runs.

Read this before you book

This is not for everyone, and we would rather say so now

  • If you want it gone by the weekend, this is not it. Inflammation settles at the pace it settles, and nobody honest will promise you a date.
  • If you are looking for a free sample, that is a different kind of business and there are plenty of them.
  • If you want to keep everything currently on your shelf, do not book. Something on it is going to have to go.
  • If you would rather not find out which of your purchases was a mistake, this session will be uncomfortable.
  • If you are hoping for one visit and one product that ends it, that is not what this is.
  • If you want texture undone quickly, it cannot be, and you will hear that in the first session rather than the fifth.

If you read that list and thought "finally, just tell me the truth about my skin", you are exactly who this studio was built for.
